Malty+Black.jpg

From the master tea makers at Lumbini Tea Estates, this strong and crisp orange pekoe steeps to a bright reddish full-bodied liquor.

Its leaves are rolled and twisted, creating a grainy Ceylon black tea, lingering on the palate with broad malty notes and an unsubtle vigour for the black tea lovers.

Pick out its underlying sweetness as you enjoy it on its own, or pair it with milk and sweetener.

Ingredients: Black tea.
Origin: Sabaragamuwa, Sri Lanka
Caffeine Content: High

Houjicha

Houjicha+2.jpg

Although this tea brews to a dark and lovely amber hue, Houjicha is actually a green tea by nature.

Traditional Bancha Japanese green tea is taken through an extra roasting step to transform it into this chocolaty smooth treasure with milder levels of caffeine, which means it can also be enjoyed into the evening.

A bonus for coffee lovers will be the savory coffee bean notes on the finish.

Ingredients: Green tea.
Origin: Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan
Caffeine Content: Low

Genmaicha

Genmaicha.jpg

Genmaicha (meaning “brown rice tea”) was discovered centuries ago when Japanese monks brewed green tea in their rice cauldrons. This particular high-end genmaicha uses green tea superior in quality and roasted sticky rice to create toasty aromas and a rich, nutty sweetness. Don't blame us if you become as addicted as we did-- it'll have you swooning.

We recommend experimenting with tea/water ratio, water temp, and steep times to get it just how you like it.

Ingredients: Green tea with roasted sticky rice.
Origin: Shizuoka, Japan
Caffeine Content: Low

Sencha Supreme

Sencha+Supreme+1.jpg

Sencha is the most popular tea in Japan, representing about 80% of all teas produced in the country. It ranges vastly in quality and price. This particular sencha is a high quality award-winning tea.

Sencha is a tea that will produce different flavors depending on the temperature of the water, adding to its appeal. Cooler water will produce a mellow flavor, while hotter water will create a more astringent cup of tea.

Experiment and enjoy!
